grey-throated babbler


The grey-throated babbler is a species of bird in the Timaliidae family.

It is found in Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.

It is 12 to 15 cm long. It weighed about 14 to 18 grams , dull brown above and buff-brown below, and a black head with gray lines and a gray throat

It feeds on insects, beetles and locusts; and some berries, seeds and nectar

Breeding
Feb–Aug generally; Dec–Aug in Borneo. Nest, built mostly by female, a bulky, often loose cup or dome with wide entrance
